Sarri gets goal-machine good news! Chelsea have door opened in bid to sign £100 million superstar

Mauro Icardi will NOT be heading to Atletico Madrid in the summer, which has handed Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri a huge boost in his Chelsea pursuit.
Despite having Olivier Giroud and Gonzalo Higuaín on the books at Chelsea, there has been a lot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few months which has all suggested that Chelsea are looking for a more long-term solution, with Icardi high up o the shopping list.
Icardi is regarded as one of the finest strikers in world football and continually nets 25-plus goals a season for the Italian side, but he has been stalling on a new contract with Inter, with reports suggesting they will not pay his demands, which has alerted a number of top clubs in England and Spain.
But Tuttomercatoweb are now reporting that Atletico are not pushing for a deal, despite rumours in the Spanish media, and it means Chelsea would likely have a straight-up battle with Real Madrid – Atletico’s city rivals – to sign the Argentina international.
However, it is also believed that Inter wants close to £100 million for their goal-machine, but nwither Chelsea nor Real are willing to go that high and would prefer to land Icardi for close to the £80 million mark.
Chelsea are facing that huge transfer ban so all this speculation is just that, speculation. But there is a good chance that the ban will get overturned in the coming weeks and if that is the case, then acquiring a world class goal-machine like Icardi is the right move from the Chelsea hierarchy.
Higuaín has struggled, Giroud is hit and miss, while Eden Hazard looks all set to pack his bags and make that big money move to Real Madrid, so Sarri will be lacking a whole load of goals when the Belgian leaves. So if they can convince Icardi that the Premier League is the better move over Madrid, then they would be serious challengers for the title next season.
Chelsea are going trough a tricky phase right now and need to be careful about whom they sell, as if the transfer ban is not overturned, then they could have serious problems even challenging for the Champions League spots next season, something which Chelsea fans don’t want to hear, but is the case if they are not able to improve their squad in the next few transfer windows.

BREAKING: Chelsea finally offer superstar one year contract extension

Chelsea are set to offer a one year contract to Olivier Giroud after constant persuasion from Maurizio Sarri according to the Guardian.
Maurizio Sarri When asked if he would like Giroud to stay at Stamford Bridge next season, The Italian said:
“Yes, of course. I know the club have an option for another season, so I think he will remain.”
The French world cup winner himself has said that he would “prefer to be at a big club rather than playing every week in a less prestigious team

Giroud, who signed for Chelsea last season is the top scorer in Europa League with nine goals has found it difficult to find playing time in the Premier League scoring only one league goal since the turn of the year

BREAKING: Manchester United clinching £100m transfer deal could be another huge blow to Chelsea

Chelsea look like facing a tough enough summer as it is, and Manchester United could make things even worse if they manage to clinch the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund winger continues to be linked with the Red Devils, with £100million perhaps being enough to get a deal done, according to the Daily Mirror.

And if United do sign Sancho, the Mirror claim Dortmund would look to bring in Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi to replace him.

The Blues teenager has already flirted with previous interest from Bayern Munich, with the Guardianclaiming back in January that he actually handed in a transfer request to try to force his move from Stamford Bridge to the Allianz Arena.

Hudson-Odoi’s current Chelsea contract expires at the end of next season, and the 18-year-old may justifiably feel he’d be more likely to get playing time at Bayern or Dortmund than with CFC, who don’t have the best track record of promoting youth.

While Sancho would be a hugely exciting signing for Man Utd, it would also be intriguing to see how well a talent like Hudson-Odoi could do if he got similar opportunities to Sancho in Germany.

This is the last thing Chelsea need, however, with Eden Hazard also being strongly linked with a summer move away.

Perfect for Chelsea? Barcelona open talks with Chelsea to get £60 million summer deal done

Reports have claimed Barcelona are willing to sell Chelsea target Samuel Umtiti in the summer transfer window.
Umtiti signed for Barcelona way back in 2016 and has become an integral part of the Spaniards side over the past few seasons, but there has been a lot of speculation that he could be sold to help finance a move for Ajax superstar defender Matthijs De Ligt.
De Ligt is one of the most highly-regarded defenders in world football and has a number of top clubs chasing a possible deal, but it is believed that he would prefer a move to the Spanish Champions rather than a move to the Premier League or PSG
And according to reports on the Calciomercato website, Barcelona are willing to cash in on the £21.4 million buy at the end of the season, with a whole host of Premier League clubs looking to try and get a transfer deal done.
Chelsea were linked with a move for Umtiti in the January window but decided to wait until the summer to try and secure a deal, but now they are facing that transfer ban they will miss out on one of the most talented defenders in Europe right now.
Will Umtiti come to the Premier League?
Chelsea would have been a very attractive move for Umtiti if they decided to make a move in the summer as they have the funds to offer him big money, but since they will be in the transfer bacn it will give the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United a clear run at trying to tempt him to England.
He is world class and it is a shock to see that Barcelona will look to offload Umititi in the summer, but a fee of around £60 million will be a good price to pay for the Barcelona star.

Almost Done: Chelsea agreed transfer for £60m forward after the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain

Chelsea centre-forward Alvaro Morata has reportedly been on the verge of finalising his switch to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and a deal will be announced this week.
The Spain international forward has left out of the Blues’ matchday squad for the last three games in the English top-tier, it is believed that he has been in talks with Atleti over a possible return to Spain’s capital.
After enduring a frustrating year at Stamford Bridge, with the goals drying up since the start of 2018, Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira claimed that Spaniard has finally secured a move to Atletico Madrid.
La Liga giants have supposedly reached a loan agreement with the Blues and can turn that into a permanent deal this summer in a fee believed to be around £48.5m.
Meanwhile, the Blues are are also expected to confirm the arrival of Argentina international forward Gonzalo Higuain as Morata’s successor in the next 24 hours.
Chelsea are also keeping tabs on AC Milan midfielder Frank Kessie and they could use Bakayoko as a part of the deal to get to deal done for Ivorian.

Mauro Icardi to Chelsea? Agent delivers huge update on striker’s future at Inter Milan

The agent of Mauro Icardi has opened up on the striker’s future at Inter Milan, amid reported interest from Chelsea.
This January transfer window – from a Blues perspective – has mostly been dominated by talk of a new striker coming in so that Eden Hazard is free from his ‘false nine’ role.
A loan move for Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly set to go through at some point this week, but it does appear that some fans would prefer someone else – and his name is Icardi.
The Argentine was the popular choice when football.london asked supporters to name their dream January transfer window signing in our transfer survey .
There was talk earlier in the window that Blues owner Roman Abramovich had personally intervened to try and get a deal done.
Meanwhile, talks between Inter and Icardi over a new contract have stalled, with the 25-year-old’s girlfriend and agent Wanda Nara admitting that the two biggest clubs in Spain as well as one in France and one in England – thought to be Chelsea – had shown an interest in the star striker this month.
However, Wanda Nara has stated that Icardi wants to stay at the San Siro ‘for a long’ time, but did also admit she can’t guarantee he will sign a new deal.
“Against Sassuolo, Mauro had little service by his teammates and it may happen but it seems that it is always his fault. In any case, the renewal has nothing to do with it, he does not feel the pressure, he is colder than Higuain,” she said, as translated by Calciomercato .
“I’m always the b**** but I’ve never asked for the renewal and Mauro has never asked for anything.
“Everyone has the agent he deserves, we have always been transparent. I do not have to call anyone. When they call me, I answer and talk about it. The club will know the right time.
“An appointment this week? We hope so, we will definitely see each other.
“On the part of Mauro, there is the willingness to remain for a long time at Inter. For me, he will 100% renew with Inter but I cannot predict the future.”

official: Barcelona prepared to include out-of-favour star in deal to land transfer of Chelsea hotshot

Barcelona are reportedly ready to use Malcom in a deal to bring Brazil and Chelsea winger Willian to the Nou Camp.

Malcom has hardly set the world light in La Liga since his move to Barca from Bordeaux this past summer, and it looks like the winger could be used in a deal to bring Willian to Catalonia.

According to the Daily Mail, Ernesto Valverde’s side are willing to use the 21-year-old in a player-plus-cash deal to sign Willian, a player the same report states Barca failed to sign last summer.

The report further states that the Blues may be convinced into letting Willian go considering the fact the Brazilian international is 30 years old and will be out of contract in the summer of 2020.

If Barcelona had any sense, this offer is one they should not be making at all costs given the fact that Malcom still has his best years ahead of him.

The former Bordeaux man has struggled to find a place in Barca’s first team this term, however this is mainly down to the resurgence in form of Ousmane Dembele, and not the Brazilian’s wrong-doing.

Barca could use Malcom as a makeweight in a deal to sign Willian from Chelsea
Malcom is nine years younger than Willian, and should he continue to develop at the same rate he has done these last 18 months or so, could easily turn into a better player than the Brazilian in to the near future

If Barcelona do end up getting rid of Malcom for Willan, it’s sure to be a decision that will annoy many Barca fans, something that’s just not wanted in any scenario.

Bid accepted: Chelsea agree to sanction star’s controversial transfer to European giants

Chelsea have reportedly accepted a transfer bid from Bayern Munich for exciting young forward Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Blues have received a number of bids from the Bundesliga giants for the 18-year-old, and have finally accepted a fourth offer, according to this video clip below from Sky Sports in Germany.
It was recently reported that Bayern were ready to offer Hudson-Odoi the number 10 shirt upon joining,
with the Scottish Sun reporting on this tempting offer to the youngster.
It seems likely from this point that the England youth international will end up making the move to the Allianz Arena, as Bleacher Report have previously stated he was tempted by the idea.
Chelsea don’t have the best track record of trusting youth, so Hudson-Odoi could be making a sensible decision in looking to further his career elsewhere.
Hudson-Odoi will no doubt have looked at English talent like Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson getting playing time and impressing in Germany, and he clearly has the talent to replicate their success.

Confirmed!! Chelsea Second Winter Signing completed, Medical and announcement scheduled today

CHELSEA are now reportedly close to securing a deal to get Alvaro Morata off their books.
Morata has struggled since joining Chelsea for £65million from AC Milan in the summer of 2017.
The Spaniard has scored just seven goals this season, of which five have come in the Premier League.
Chelsea have long been linked with AC Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain, with boss Maurizio Sarri keen to sign the Argentinian.
And the Sun report that a deal is close which will see the two strikers switch clubs.
It’s claimed that it will just be a loan switch for the pair with Higuain actually a Juventus player.
It means Juve will need to rubber-stamp the deal with the Turin outfit set to add the option of making Higuain’s move to Chelsea permanent in the summer.
Chelsea are in desperate need of a striker with Morata and Olivier Giroud both struggling.
Sarri was forced to play Eden Hazard up front recently and has made it clear to the club he wants to strengthen his attacking options.
Sevilla are also believed to be interested in Morata though Chelsea are likely to favour a swap deal.
“The club knows very well my opinion. I think we need something different for characteristics,” Sarri said after this week’s goalless draw with Southampton.
“I’m not in charge of the market. I have to try to improve my players, my team, my offensive phase, or better my offensive phase in the last 20 metres.
“The club knows my position, my opinion. It’s up to the board.
“At the moment we’re in trouble with the offensive players.”
“On the bench I tried to do my job. I think we played a very good match for 80 metres of the pitch, then we were in trouble in the last 20 metres.
“We have to try to solve the problem of the last 15, 20 metres.”
Chelsea have already strengthened their midfield this window with the signing of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
However the American will stay in the Bundesliga on loan for the remainder of the season.

Real Madrid set to bring £90million Eden Hazard transfer forward to January after major development at Chelsea

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to try and clinch the transfer of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard in a £90million deal to go through for the summer.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims Chelsea’s move to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund has motivated Real’s interest.

A move was confirmed yesterday for Pulisic to join Chelsea in the summer, spending the rest of this season back on loan at Dortmund, and the USA international could be an ideal long-term replacement for Hazard.

The Belgian’s future at Stamford Bridge has been in doubt for some time now, with his contract due to expire at the end of next season.
Diario Gol suggest Madrid may now sense an opportunity to get a move for Hazard wrapped up for the summer, with the 27-year-old similarly remaining at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of this season.

The report claims the Spanish giants will try to get a deal done at around £90m, which could well prove a real bargain for a player of his calibre.
A signing like Hazard in attack makes sense as a priority for Los Blancos after the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer.

Real Madrid line up cash-plus-player offer to beat Chelsea to £90million transfer

Real Madrid are reportedly discussing the possibility of offering Luka Modric to Inter Milan to help them seal the transfer of Mauro Icardi, also a target for Chelsea.

The Argentina international has shone in Serie A, attracting plenty of interest from top clubs around Europe in recent times as a big move is surely on the cards for him in the near future.

The latest from Diario Gol is that Florentino Perez could approve of a bid of around €40million-plus-Modric to Inter to help bring Icardi to the Bernabeu.

This could be bad news for Chelsea, however, with the £90million-rated San Siro hit-man thought to be Maurizio Sarri’s preferred target to replace the struggling Alvaro Morata at Stamford Bridge, according to the Sun.

The Blues surely need a signing of that calibre up front if they are to continue their strong start to the season under Sarri.

Morata and Olivier Giroud have just two league goals between them, meaning Eden Hazard has had to carry the side somewhat.
If Madrid end up concluding this smart swap deal it could be ideal for them as they’re also struggling up front following the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer.

Chelsea fans will love Eden Hazard’s latest comments on his future after Real Madrid talk

Having previously made no secret of his desire to play for Real Madrid, Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard has offered a new outlook on his future plans.

The 27-year-old has been in fine form so far this season, as he has seemingly relished playing in Maurizio Sarri’s system and preferred style of play which appears to be getting the best out of him.

Hazard has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 10 appearances so far this season, as he appears ready to lead Chelsea’s charge towards major honours.

As noted by The Mirror though, the Belgian international has never made a secret of his desire to play for Real Madrid eventually, and at 27, it arguably has to come sooner rather than later which would be a massive blow for Chelsea.

However, Hazard’s latest comments will certainly be more reassuring for the Blues faithful and will be music to their ears, as he has discussed the potential of seeing out his career at Stamford Bridge.

“I can finish with Chelsea,” he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “No problem at all. I am very happy with this club, with the team, my family is happy here.
“So If I don’t go to Spain, it is not a problem. I love the fans – I think the fans love me! What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that’s it.”

Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, as it will surely be down to Chelsea to match his ambitions on the pitch by competing at the very highest level both domestically and in the Champions League, while time will tell if a new lucrative contract also proves to be persuasive.

With the right conditions in place though, perhaps Hazard could stay and snub Real Madrid. Sarri will certainly hope so as he has undoubtedly shown signs that he can help take his star man’s game to the next level so far this season

Official: Striker reveals Sarri wanted to sign him this summer

Gonzalo Higuain has been discussing how close he really came to joining Chelsea this summer.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited on Sport Witness, Higuain says he would have joined Chelsea had everyone else at the club felt the same way as new head coach Maurizio Sarri.
He reveals that he felt far more wanted at Milan when it became clear that he would be leaving Juventus.

There was a fundamental difference: everyone here [Milan] wanted me, from the club to the coach. Only the coach wanted me at Chelsea.
Following a blockbuster move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, Juventus were left with no choice but to move Higuain on and Chelsea were battling the San Siro outfit for his signature.
Given the player’s age, it transpires that those behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge were not so keen to splash the cash on Higuain, with the little resale he would offer.

The Argentinian would go on to join Milan on loan, with Gennaro Gattuso’s men having the option to sign him permanently for £32 million next summer.

£123m double transfer could give Chelsea enough to overcome Liverpool & Man City – with or without Eden Hazard

It’s fair to say Chelsea have surpassed expectations under Maurizio Sarri so far this season, but there’s still more that could be done to ensure this Blues side remain major players in the Premier League title race.

While Sarri has worked wonders to get largely the same squad that finished fifth in the table last season playing some dour football under his predecessor Antonio Conte, on paper Manchester City and Liverpool still look to have stronger squads in terms of going all the way over the course of a season

The three teams are currently level on points after fast starts to the 2018/19 campaign, but Chelsea will surely fall away unless they strengthen their attack this winter.

So far, Sarri has been aided hugely by the magnificent form of Eden Hazard, who has eight goals and three assists in his first ten games of the season – only six of which have been starts.

However, his league tally of seven goals this term is already more than half his total from last season, with his highest ever in England just 16 in the 2016/17 campaign.
eden hazard chelsea sarri
Eden Hazard heading out of Chelsea?
Basically, the Belgium international is probably unlikely to continue scoring at this rate, and Chelsea don’t exactly have much firepower elsewhere in this squad after some miserable form from both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.
Pedro and Willian are decent options, but Chelsea are unsurprisingly being linked with some big-name forwards for January, two of which seem to be being talked up most strongly as serious options.

Ousmane Dembele and Krzysztof Piatek transfers needed at Chelsea?

The 23-year-old Pole has risen from relative obscurity to make a blinding start to this season, scoring 13 goals in his first nine games for his new club.
It seems clear already that Piatek would be a major upgrade on Morata and Giroud, and football.london claim he could be available for a bargain price of £53million.
Of course, that doesn’t solve the problem of Hazard’s potential departure, with the 27-year-old still to extend his contract beyond its expiry date of the end of next season.
piatek genoa
Krzysztof Piatek is a transfer target for Chelsea
Marca are among a number of sources to link Hazard with Real Madrid, and they also state the player has turned down a new contract as many as five times at Stamford Bridge.
It’s perhaps unlikely Chelsea will cash in on Hazard in the middle of the season, but even if they do they could sign Barcelona outcast Ousmane Dembele as an ideal replacement.
The 21-year-old, long regarded as one of Europe’s top young players despite a slow start at Barca, has been linked recently with Chelsea by Don Balon.
In terms of asking price, another Don Balon piece claimed the Frenchman would fetch around £70m, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested.
ousmane dembele transfer
Ousmane Dembele to Chelsea if he leaves Barcelona?
If Chelsea can land those two attackers for a combined £123m, even with Hazard’s departure they’d arguably have a better attack than they do now and would be better equipped to go toe-to-toe with City and Liverpool in the second half of this season.
Of course, both are young and unproven in England, but Hazard can only do so much on his own, and it’s rare for a team to win the title without a striker who can bag 20+ league goals a season.
City have Sergio Aguero, Liverpool arguably have three players capable of close to that in Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, and even Arsenal are catching up thanks to the fine scoring form of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

“I look at Chelsea and it is just a mess” – 3 pre-season CFC predictions that look very silly now, but one transfer risk set to prove costly

It’s early days yet, but those pre-season predictions writing Chelsea off look very silly indeed now after a terrific start made by new manager Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have played some superb football and sit joint-stop of the Premier League alongside Manchester City and Liverpool – even managing to score three more goals than their rivals in Red, who supposedly had the front three to end all front threes in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

That just goes to show how quickly things can change in football, with the obsessively innovative nature of some modern managers at the highest level meaning a change to the man in the dugout doesn’t just mean a different man in a tracksuit barking out orders to his players, but a complete overhaul of the way every single member of the squad plays.

No club illustrates this better than Chelsea – with Antonio Conte having a similarly transformative effect at the club just over two years ago, taking largely the same group of players that had finished 10th, demoralised and directionless under a combination of Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink in 2015/16, to runaway champions playing in a stylish 3-4-3 system that no one else in the league knew how to handle just 12 months later.

Then (almost) the same thing happened again – Conte’s methods went stale, players got fed up and the Blues finished 5th after a disastrous run of just three league wins, three draws and five defeats between new year’s day and mid-April.
sarri cfc
Maurizio Sarri has made a great start at Chelsea
Now, the team is unrecognisable once again, with Sarri very quickly implementing a possession-based game on a par with Manchester City and Barcelona at their best. Perhaps it’s harsh to point out just how few pundits saw this coming, but it feels as though some of the old heads still commentating on the game haven’t quite caught up…

Three Chelsea predictions that look very silly now…

‘I look at Chelsea and it is just a mess, isn’t it? The whole thing,’ said your grumpy old uncle Mark Lawrenson as eloquently as ever on BBC Sport.

‘What Sarri saw in the Community Shield (defeat to Man City) will have told him a lot about what his players are capable of, in terms of fitting into his system or reaching the required standards. He has issues to tackle right through his team and, with Thursday being the transfer deadline for incoming players, there is not much time to decide whether to address them in the transfer market,’ said Matthew Upson after watching Chelsea’s first game under Sarri in the same BBC Sport season preview.

‘It is very much an unknown quantity in Sarri and you never quite know how it will go at Chelsea, it could go one of two ways. But with Sarri trying to change the structure of the team, it will take time,’ said Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith, who predicted the west Londoners as finishing 6th in his pre-season final table prediction.

Double exit: Chelsea duo wanted as Maurizio Sarri could opt to offload pair

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri could have two difficult decisions on his hands as speculation has linked duo Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill with exits.

The Blues have started the season well as they remain in the hunt for the Europa League and League Cup, while sitting joint top of the Premier League table.

As the season progresses, Sarri will need to call upon the quality depth at his disposal to continue to compete on multiple fronts, but there could be important decisions to make in January and next summer.

As reported by The Mirror, Atletico Madrid want Fabregas and considering he’s been limited to just three appearances so far this season, albeit injury has played a major part in that too, it could be a move that suits all parties concerned.

The 31-year-old has undoubtedly fallen down the pecking order behind summer arrivals Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, and particularly given he’s on an expiring contract, an exit from Stamford Bridge might be the most sensible outcome unless Sarri can guarantee him a more prominent role moving forward.

It’s been equally as difficult for defensive stalwart Cahill, who has also managed just three appearances in all competitions so far this season as he too sits behind the likes of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz in the pecking order under the Italian tactician.
As per The Mirror, the 32-year-old is said to be a target for West Ham United in January, and so it remains to be seen if he pushes for an exit to secure regular playing time elsewhere.

Ultimately, Sarri hasn’t needed the pair for the most part to get his side into their current position. Nevertheless, in the event of injuries, suspensions and loss of form, they could prove to be crucial as the year goes on and so it might not be the wisest idea to axe either of them in January.
Perhaps if he has a summer transfer window to continue to stamp his mark on the squad, then Chelsea may well be in a position to offload those deemed surplus to requirements.

Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri identifies transfer target as he’s ready to replace Eden Hazard for baffling reason

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly prepared to consider a swap deal involving Eden Hazard sealing a transfer to Real Madrid if Marco Asensio moves in the opposite direction.

While such a swap deal makes perfect sense for the Blues, given the potential Asensio has shown in a similar position to Hazard, Sarri’s reported reasoning for wanting the exchange is truly bizarre.

This, according to Don Balon, is down to the Italian tactician apparently not being entirely satisfied with Hazard so far in his time at Stamford Bridge due to his inconsistency.

While this is perhaps an accusation one could have made of the Belgium international in the past, few would argue he’s been one of the outstanding players in the Premier League this season.

Hazard has looked right at home in Sarri’s new-look Chelsea side, playing some of the finest football of his career.

Of course, the 27-year-old’s contract situation is a bit of a worry as he’s yet to renew a deal that’s due to expire at the end of next season.

Marco Asensio would be Maurizio Sarri’s preferred replacement for Eden Hazard
And the player himself has hinted he’d be tempted to seal a move to the Bernabeu, having been was quoted in the Daily Mirror this week as saying: ‘Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today. It is my dream since I was a kid.’

The longer Hazard goes on without signing a new deal the more sense it might make for CFC to cash in on him or try to land a top talent like Asensio in return.

However, for Sarri to not be satisfied with the club’s star player after his stunning form this season is a big surprise if Don Balon’s report is accurate.
