Deal Almost Done: Man United meet Lyon’s €80m asking price for 22-year-old next Paul Pogba


Reports indicates Premier League duo of Manchester United and Tottenham hotspurs are likely to meet the demands of Lyon for their midfield sensation than Juventus.

According to Italian media reports, the Red Devils have a slight edge over Serie A champions Juventus in the transfer race to land midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from French club Lyon.

Italian outlet Calciomercato is claiming that the Turin giants are keen on a move for the Lyon star in the coming transfer window.

The same report suggest that the Red Devils are one of three English sides who are being connected with the extraordinary 22-year-old.

As per the same report, reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and North London side Tottenham Hotspur are ready to rival United and the Old Lady for the signature of Ndombele.

Calciomercato claim that English Premier League sides have more financial power to meet the asking price of Lyon for Ndombele.

The same article goes on to claim that Lyon Chief Jean-Michel Aulas will likely demand a fee of about €75million and €80million.

The midfielder has been tagged the ‘next Pogba’ thanks to his brilliant displays in France 1 over the last one year or so.

The midfielder has scored twice and has created five assists in 32 matches in the French Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League this term.

The Red Devils lost 2-1 to Wolves in the Emirates FA Cup last-8 on Saturday, while their local rivals Man City eased past Swansea in Wales.

United will take on La Liga giants Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals after the Catalan club knocked out Ndembele’s Lyon in the previous round.
